Well, let me tell you something about my EdenPure 3 Generation! For the last 3 weeks (as long as we had it so far), I've slept on the couch next to the EdenPure in our family room because I refuse to sleep in a waterbed that has a leak near my pillow for months and isn't being/can't be fixed...go figure! For the last 3 weeks we've had it, I have had burning non-stop in both nostrils!!! Never in my life, no matter what, I never have suffered this health problem before. I have to use a Q-tip to clear my airways in the morning (and sometimes during night). All day long my nostrils are burning!!! I am a healthy 54 year old. And No, it's not the Q-tips!!! There is no reason/excuse for this burning other than the EdenPure! Thank-you-very-much!
i have found with the eden pure my electric bill has gone up so high
I dont know for sure if it is the heater or now but going to test it
I put it beside my bed and it works, but does not heat as much as they saythe eden pure uses alot of electric. when they say it uses $1 dollar a day yeah thats if you leave it off.this thing is a juice burner don't let no one tell you any different.
I just bought a Gen 4. It took 6 weeks for it to be delivered. It looks great but is alot smaller than I thought it would be. I tried this heater three different ways. First I tried to see if it could keep two rooms heated that were next to each other. Together they are about 350 square feet. It could not. Then I tried it in just one room. It was able to keep a 12 x14 about 68 degrees. Outside temp was in the 30's. I tried the heater in a 20x24 room. Could not heat this room at all very well. Each time I tried this heater I brought the whole house up to about 72 degrees and then tried to let the edenpure heater just maintain the temp. This is a very nice looking heater and it does a decent job in a small room 12x14 that is closed off from the rest of the house. I don't think this heater is really any better than any other 1500watt heater. I will say that it looks great though.
I ordered an Eden Pure 4 on 11/02/10 and I also called after a month had gone by to find out the status of my order. First I got a recording that said I had 4 orders so I was given the number to customer service. That was a joke. I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes then finally left a message and my number. After 2 days my call was returned, and the duplicate orders were canceled and one was left as being processed. Now it is January 13, and still no heater. I have called everyday this week and left a message each time but no one has returned my calls. I wish I could tell Bob Villa what kind of product he is endorsing.
False advertiseing
I have worked on 4 of theas heaters and the fans are the problem . the rubber gromlet next to the fan motor comes lose . I have had to glue the gromlet to the fan.In reading your comments, it sounds like it may be the same problem I am having with a Endenpure Quartz Heater Model 1000-XL purchased in 10/30/2007. After turning on and heating up; the fan comes on and I hear a grinding noise like a bearing going out. Is this the same problem you found, the rubber gromlet is loose?? Can I unplug the machine and take the back off and fix it my self?

Have never talked to anyone who has used this unit. I think this article gave me a good, clear, objective look at these heaters. Thought they would use quite a bit of electricity. Thanks for the information.
i was thinking about buyin an eden pure,everybody trusts bob v right? after reading the reviews, i have changed my mind,what people will do for money,shame on u bob!
Really glad I read the comments. Another case of "if it sounds to good". Good idea to research everything you buy over $10.00.
